A room on Foundry Lane, a drum, and three farms.

We started in 2019 with one machine in a rented workshop and no plan to become larger than the room could hold. We still roast in that room. There is no second location, no subscription tier, no anniversary blend. What we sell is what came off the drum this week, and what we know about it is written next to it.

The name is the sound a coffee bean makes when it opens in the heat. It seemed enough to call ourselves after the only thing in the process we do not control.
