Come by the room.

The roaster runs in the back, the sun comes through the front, and there is usually a cup waiting. Here is where to find us and when we are on.

Our story

A sunlit room and a drum roaster.

First Crack opened in 2019 in an old foundry off Foundry Lane. We wanted a roastery that felt like the warm coffee houses we grew up around — loud, friendly, and a little bit of a party — with the coffee taken seriously and the room kept easy.

Everything still happens under one roof: green beans in the back, the drum roaster by the window, and a counter out front where we pour whatever came off the roaster that week. Three origins, roasted by ear, poured for the neighborhood.

The First Crack cafe room in 1970s warmth, wood and ochre tones, sunlight across the floor.
